Daybreak on the Veľký Rozsutec

It is really a bad luck. It was my second try to take some photos of the rising sun from the summit of the Veľký Rozsutec and it ended in exactly the same way as my previous try: just minutes before sunrise clouds covered everything around me. Luckily, before it happened, I was able to take some shots.

I woke up in the middle of the night - again, then I was driving for almost 3 hours to the place - again - and then I was hiking for another to to the top (again!!!). And? Well, weather made really bad joke of me (yes, again). For some time before sunrise, it was not so bad, and I could see surrounding mountains and sea of clouds around me, but when sun was about to show, suddenly everything disappeared in gray fog. I was lucky anyway, not like others who came to the top too late.

So far, weather looks good...

...but not on this side

There is almost no snow in the valleys and it is end of December!

But here it is like ice age

Bad luck, too late folks!

The only thing we can do is...

...just to try to find our way back home

Weather forecast for the afternoon was so bad, that this time I just went back straight to the car. It appeared to be a good choice - just monutes after I started driving, it started to rain...
